A little catchup from my last post:
1. We had a fabulous time on our cruise!  7 days of chillin', sight-seein', and not thinking about school! It was wonderful!  We saw dolphins, held turtles, kissed sting-rays, climbed on Mayan ruins, swam in the ocean, went to a haunted plantation, went to Hell (not kidding, it is actually called this :P), and shopped in Jamaica, Grand Caymans, and Cozumel!  It was a wonderful trip and I can't wait to go on another cruise!

2. My to-do list is shrinking a little bit!

• I got the filing cabinets and tabletop cleaned, sanded, primed, and the first coat of paint on.  Tomorrow is the second coat of paint, and Sunday is the clear top coat! 
• Whisper phones are done!  
• Math stations are all organized by unit! 
• Word Wall Words are almost done!  Just need to number them on the back so I know where they go on the wall since it is going to be a little different this year
• Math games are laminated and just need to be cut out!  
• I laminated  167 feet of stuff before we went on the cruise and I am now cutting it all out! 

Tomorrow I plan to finish recovering the crate seats, make the cushions for the bucket seats, paint the lapboards for the different tables, second coat of paint on the filing cabinets and tabletop.

I would love to add pictures to this blog.  You guys will know as soon as I figure out how to do that (you'll see the pictures!)

This weekend is our 10th wedding anniversary! We have family coming to town to celebrate with us! It is going to be so much fun!

This is my first blog, so I hope I do this right!  A little information about me:

1. Married for 10 years on July 19th!
2. Going on a cruise for the first time this summer
3. We have a dog named Sherlock who is a beagle and chihuahua mix
4. We are trying to have a baby
5. I have taught kindergarten for 6 years
6. I have taught 1st grade for 4 years
7. I will be teaching 1st grade again this year with my class from last year!
8. I love reading books on my kindle!
9. I play video games in my spare time
10. I love to decorate our house for the seasons!

This summer I have quite the list of things I would love to get done for my classroom this fall

1. I am painting a tabletop and filing cabinets to use as a writing center
2. I am touching up the paint on 2 tables I painted last year
3. I am recovering my crate seats that I made last year as they didn't hold and look very ratty
4. I am making a set of bucket seats for my reading center and they will store art supplies
5. I am creating lapboards for the students
6. I am making whisper phones that are color coded by table
7. I am organizing all my binders 
8. I am organizing all my math stations
9. I am creating a SubTub
10. I am remaking my word wall words
11. I am printing when I am done thematic math games for each month
12. I am creating a family project list for each month

Wow! I am tired just thinking of all I have to do!
